Invitation for Proposals for Courses, Workshops and Symposia

At the 48th ISCoS Annual Scientific Meeting, individual papers, scientific posters and lectures by invited guest will be presented. Courses, Workshop and Symposia will enrich the program.

The courses usually last from 90 to 180 minutes and deal with a single spinal cord injury (SCI) topic. They will be organized by a chairperson and will include a guest faculty composed of two to five members.

Handouts (max. two pages per faculty member) will have to be submitted ahead of the presentation and distributed to meeting attendees in a single bound volume.

Courses, Workshop and Symposia will be selected by the Scientific Programme Committee among the submitted proposals.

Proposals for Courses, Workshop and Symposia will have to be submitted by March 31st, 2009. The decisions from the Scientific Programme Committee concerning the proposals will be communicated in conjunction with those regarding the abstracts.

Instructions regarding the submission of proposals for Courses, Workshop and Symposia

Authors intending to propose a course, workshop or symposium should submit their written proposal via e-mail to the meeting scientific secretariat. The proposal should include:

Title of proposed course / workshop / symposium
Format of proposed course / workshop / symposium
Faculty (with positions and affiliations) of promoters of proposed course / workshop / symposium
Name, address, e-mail, phone, fax number of promoters of proposed course / workshop / symposium chairperson / contact person
Course / workshop / symposium synopsis.

Once the proposal acceptance has been notified, abstracts for related presentations should be submitted using the usual abstract form within June 30th, 2009. This instruction is meant to allow the organizing secretariat to file the abstracts into the abstract book.
